The 2025 Volkswagen Jetta and Jetta GLI models have undergone significant updates to enhance their appeal in the competitive compact sedan market. For 2025, the Volkswagen Jetta and Jetta GLI sport a refreshed exterior design that brings a modern and sophisticated look. Seating materials and interior décor have also been updated. The Trendline trim features Rhombus cloth seats in Titan Black with Brushed Silver accents. Comfortline models offer new perforated, two-tone Microcloud leatherette seating surfaces in combinations such as Grigio/Titan Black and Atlantic Blue/Storm Grey, paired with String Figure décor. Highline models elevate the experience with perforated Vienna leather seats available in new color combinations, while the GLI models stand out with their unique Grigio--Red Crust/Titan Black leather seating, accented by red contrast stitching and Magnum matte décor.
The 2025 Volkswagen Jetta is powered by a 1.5-litre turbocharged inline four-cylinder engine, delivering 158 horsepower. This engine is mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission, which balances performance with fuel efficiency. The Jetta's powertrain is designed to offer a responsive driving experience, making it a practical choice for daily commuting and long drives alike.
The Jetta GLI, known for its performance-oriented setup, features a more powerful 2.0-litre EA888 engine, generating 228 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. This engine can be paired with either a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission or a six-speed manual gearbox, catering to driving enthusiasts who prefer more control. The GLI also includes sport-specific enhancements such as larger brakes, a VAQ electronically-controlled torque-sensing limited-slip differential, and a unique sport exhaust system, making it a "GTI with a trunk."
Technology updates in the 2025 Jetta and Jetta GLI include a standard floating touchscreen infotainment system across all trims, which serves as the hub for the vehicle's connectivity and entertainment features. This system is designed to provide easy access to essential functions while maintaining a clean, user-friendly interface. The Climatronic® Touch automatic climate control, also standard, adds to the modern, sleek look of the centre stack and ensures comfort for all passengers.
