This model combines a turbocharged engine with three equipment levels to suit different requirements. The 2026 Jetta continues with the same platform from the 2025 model year. This carries forward the 1.5 TSI turbocharged engine, 8-speed automatic transmission, and Travel Assist technology that combines adaptive cruise control with lane keeping support. The Digital Cockpit display system and 399-litre cargo area remain unchanged.
The front features LED reflector headlights with LED daytime running lights and an illuminated light line spanning the grille width. Chrome window surrounds appear on Trendline and Comfortline trims, while Highline uses black surrounds. The sedan measures 4,738 mm in length, 1,799 mm in width excluding mirrors, and 1,465 mm in height. Eight exterior colours include Pure White, Pyrite Silver Metallic, Deep Black Pearl, and Kings Red Metallic. Wheel options progress from 16-inch Kiwano alloys on Trendline through 17-inch Madrid wheels on Comfortline to 18-inch Phantom wheels on Highline. LED taillights with an illuminated rear light line complete the exterior lighting package.
All models receive a leather multi-function heated steering wheel with touch controls. Seating materials start with cloth on Trendline, advance to leatherette on Comfortline, and reach leather on Highline. Trendline provides six-way manual driver seat adjustment, while Comfortline and Highline upgrade to power adjustment with memory function. Highline adds ventilated front seats and heating for the two outer rear positions. The rear bench splits 60/40 with a centre armrest on Comfortline and Highline. Cargo capacity reaches 399 litres behind the rear seats. Interior ambient lighting on Comfortline and Highline adjusts across 10 colour settings. Dual-zone electronic climate control manages temperature independently for driver and front passenger.
The 1.5 TSI turbocharged four-cylinder engine produces 158 hp and 184 lb-ft of torque. An 8-speed automatic transmission with start/stop system and regenerative braking handles power delivery across all trims. Natural Resources Canada rates fuel consumption at 7.2 L/100 km combined, breaking down to 8.2 L/100 km in city conditions and 5.9 L/100 km on highways. Speed-sensitive power steering adjusts effort based on vehicle speed.
Comfortline and Highline trims add electronic differential lock (XDS) for enhanced traction control during cornering. Driving Profile Selection on these upper trims modifies throttle response and transmission shift patterns. ECO driving mode optimizes efficiency across the lineup.
The 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system includes wireless App-Connect supporting Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Trendline uses Volkswagen Digital Cockpit with an 8.0-inch instrument cluster, while Comfortline and Highline receive Digital Cockpit Pro featuring a 10.25-inch configurable display. Satellite navigation equips Comfortline and Highline models. Audio systems range from four speakers on Trendline to six speakers on Comfortline, with Highline adding the Volkswagen Premium Audio System with six speakers plus subwoofer. The myVW mobile app provides remote access, vehicle alerts, and health monitoring for three years.
Comfortline introduces wireless charging for compatible devices, SiriusXM satellite radio, and voice control. KESSY keyless access with push-start button features on Comfortline and Highline. Front Assist with Automatic Emergency Braking and pedestrian detection is standard across all models. Side Assist provides active blind spot monitoring with rear traffic alert. Travel Assist on Comfortline and Highline combines adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go capability, lane assist, and emergency assist. Light Assist automatic high-beam control appears on upper trims. A rearview camera with static guidance lines equips all models. Front and rear Side Curtain Protection with front side airbags protects occupants throughout the lineup.
Trendline opens the range with LED lighting, heated front seats, cruise control, and 16-inch Kiwano alloy wheels. Comfortline adds a Rail 2 Rail power sunroof, 17-inch Madrid alloy wheels, adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go capability, and leatherette seating.
The Sport Package for Comfortline brings 18-inch Phantom black alloy wheels, black exterior mirror housings, black window surrounds, brushed stainless steel pedals, interior ambient lighting, and Digital Cockpit Pro. Highline represents the top specification with 18-inch Phantom alloy wheels, leather seating, ventilated front seats, and heating for both front and outer rear seats.
