For 2024, Volkswagen's renowned Atlas family is being given a substantial facelift. The new and improved 2024 Volkswagen Atlas and Atlas Cross Sport were unveiled earlier in February and while both models keep the caracteristics that have made them so successful over the years, they also gain a new and more efficient powertrain along with a new design and a long list of new technologies. Lets take a closer look.A new engine with more power and enhanced efficiencyThe new 2024 Volkswagen Atlas and Atlas Cross Sport swap out their current engine lineup for a single, more powerful and more efficient powertrain. A turbocharged 2.0-litre four-cylinder TSI engine provides 269 horsepower and 273 lb-ft of torque, providing more power than the former VR6 but with better fuel efficiency. Both models will feature 8-speed automated gearbox, 4MOTION standard all-wheel drive system, and a 5000 lb towing capacity. The new turbo also offers smoother accelerations and more power across the rev range.

A New Exterior Design Make the 2024 Atlas Lineup Even More Distinctive

The 2024 Volkswagen Atlas and Atlas Cross Sport come with bold new looks, courtesy of a wider four-bar chrome grille adorned with LED headlights and the Adaptive Front Lighting System (AFS) as standard. The distinctive Daytime Running Lights (DRLs) form an illuminated lightbar above the VW logo to give these vehicles a premium feel. The rear boasts a large spoiler, along with an illuminated lightbar plus a VW logo between the LED taillights.The 2024 Atlas Cross Sport has a gloss-black grille detail and stylish "X" decoration on its lower fascia, while its rear diffuser is more aggressively designed than its predecessor's. Wheel designs range from 18 to 20 inches in machined alloy or black finishes while R-line trims sport 21-inch aluminum alloy wheels, with gloss black trim and iconic R-line badges.

The 2024 VW Atlas and Atlas Cross Sport offer greater comfort and a more refined interior. Theres also a lot more standard comfort features including a heated steering wheel, ventilated front seats and a height-adjustable passenger seat to keep you comfortable whatever the weather. Climatronic automatic climate control is also included along with Voice Control, meaning that you can adjust the temperature using voice commands.The new models are also loaded with top-of-the-range technology. 12 floating infotainment display takes center stage in the redesigned cockpit, while every trim level is equipped with the 10.25" fully configurable Volkswagen Digital Cockpit Pro digital instrument cluster.
